Angels Like Lyres

Angels like lyres
for playing a tune.
They don't play electric
guitar or bassoon.
They don't play recorder,
and never trombones.
They sometimes blow trumpets,
but not saxophones.

Angels like music
by Handel or Bach.
They don't like to rock,
or dance hardcore, or rap.
They only like singing
in delicate choirs.
They'll sing Hallelujah
and then play their lyres.
