When We're Not Together

When we're not together
I'll think about you still.
I'll carry all the good times with me,
and re-live every smile.

When we're not together
I'll still pretend we are;
pretend that I can phone you up,
or text you "Good Morning!" everyday.
I'll imagine I can see you
whenever you get lonely.
I'll picture every midnight trip,
and tell myself it can happen again,
when we're not together.

I'll write you out a birthday card,
buy presents that I'd know you'd like,
and I'd save a special place on mine
for the special gift you'd buy me.

I suppose we won't be in love anymore,
but I'm sure we won't forget each other
when we're not together.
