The Last Polar Bear

Come with me
far north to a crisp white sea,
it's a world I recall in dreams.
Young yet I
remember by brothers cry,
it's a life time ago it seems.

I'm the last polar bear.
I'm the last polar bear.

Here I stay
a house made of steel and clay
since the sea stole the ice away.
Grey stone floors,
entombed like a bird indoors
as I wait for the final day.

I'm the last polar bear.
I'm the last polar bear.

I was born
but now I am left forlorn
and my parents and friends are bones.
Days roll by,
the moon rises in my eye,
every night is a walk alone.

I'm the last polar bear.
I'm the last polar bear.
