Genius Inside

I sit alone,
playing on my old piano-o.
Oh oh!
Where did my ideas go!
I rise and go,
over to the open window-o.
Oh oh!
I look at broken leaves below
as I close my eyes.

I've got to take that door and open wide.
I've got to reach right up and touch the sky.
I've got to find that glow,
of love I hide.
I've got to look so high and low as well.
I've got to find new hope to cure this hell.
I've got to light that spark,
of God,
that comes from the genius inside.

I walk outside,
where the rain is falling and wind blows.
Oh oh!
Blowing like my thoughts should flow.
I gaze at dogs
fighting in the distant fog below
Oh oh!
I hear them as then bite and bark
as I close my eyes.

I've got to take that door and open wide.
I've got to reach right up and touch the sky.
I've got to find that glow,
of love I hide.
I've got to look so high and low as well.
I've got to find new hope to cure this hell.
I've got to light that spark,
of God,
that comes from the genius inside.

I state at sky,
thinking of a lonely melody,
Hee hee!
Is the music sent to me?
I think of words
even if they come they sound absurd
when heard
but I note them down with cries
as I close my eyes.

I've got to take that door and open wide.
I've got to reach right up and touch the sky.
I've got to find that glow,
of love I hide.
I've got to look so high and low as well.
I've got to find new hope to cure this hell.
I've got to light that spark,
of God,
that comes from the genius inside.
