About this painting
This is about the lack of communication in a relationship.

Far from Earth, on a distant world. A female figure leaps towards a male but she is unable to cross the chasm.

Technical details
This was largely improvised and painted in one layer using mars violet, yellow ochre and light red as well as black and white. Later, the figures were painted over the top in white and yellow ochre.
