About this painting
This small painting was inspired by the train journey to Wales to collect a painting from the Museum of Modern Art at the end of their exhibition. It shows a cycle of doom, starting from the profile in the lower left middle, and spiraling clockwise towards the sunset.

Archers are sucked into the distant sun, pulled by relentless gravity towards inevitable oblivion. They fire arrows in an attempt to escape being sukced down, but their missiles are pulled and turn back in spirals towards the distant point that marks the future.
