About this painting
Alternatively titled "Two Victorian Time Travellers Discovering Technological Lovelessness In The Year 2791" this painting was inspired by the sci-fi theme of a dystopian future. This is a prediction of emotional death at the hands of a cold artificial intelligence.

Two robots, chromium giants tower over a desert landscape. One alive, one dead, both emotionless. In the rocks on the left in brighter colours we see an embracing but now human couple in outdated clothing. The rocks are topped with a vigorous red rose and two Victorian explorers, time travellers that witness the distant scene.

This is the past, or perhaps the present as the grey rain on the right shows the unrequited future. The destroyed city shows disaster there and the pale rose, contrasting with the scarlet one, sags its head. Perhaps, this is merely a prediction, a prophetic warning.

Technical details
This was painted on 100% polyester canvas; a tough, waterproof surface with internal pigmentation used for sails. It is excellent surface for fine oil painting.
