About this painting
A painting about isolation, originally inspired while watching the Gerry Anderson film, Journey to the Far Side of the Sun.
Initially inspired by the idea of man's failure in space travel since the optimistic 1960s, my original idea evolved from a planet to the pupil of a crying eye, to a scene of emptiness and loneliness, evoking the words and mood of Kate Bush song of the same title. |
