About this painting
First in a series of paintings about film maker Ingmar Bergman. The seed of the idea came from a visit to the British Film Institute and a glimpse at a biographer of the great film maker. A version of this was painted in 2016, then repainted as part of a group.
A bleak windswept landscape, and the tree figure reaches for home, always out of reach. |
