Art And Faith

Sometimes in art, in anything where you want to excel, you have to stop comparing yourself to others, and even your own past. As beginners we charge ahead in joyous ignorance, but then we learn about the great things that others have done, and learn from them. After a certain time we must sever that connection too, and make a brave leap, not comparing our work with anything, having only faith in something new and different, releasing the child to the world and its independence. The best art requires faith.
