About this event
A special version of the 'Tuesdays' Open Mic events, which began in 2024 at The Red Cow in Nantwich. This event was an expo of the regular performers, and was held in Nantwich Football Club as part of the Nantwich Roots Festival. The evening was hosted by Nastee Chapel (NatalieGrace Kelsey and Steve van Niekirk).

Fall in Green performed 'Clown Face', and 'Dead Hand', in unique arrangements for Microkorg. Mark Sheeky performed 'Excessive Consumption Has Laxative Effects', and 'Cat Parasites' from his forthcoming album A Drive Through The Town.

Other performers included regular Tuesdays performers Nigel Stonier, Rowan Kettle, and Egan Stonier performing instrumental music on electric violin. Country singer Laura Holden and other members of Chasing Twisters performed an amusingly chaotic set, and poet Martin Corlettmoss read two of his poems which uniquely merge poetry, prose, and stand-up comedy. Teenage singer and guitarist Brooke Welsh gave a mesmerising performance of two songs, and guitarist and singer Jim Farmer gave an impassioned performance in a night full of showmanship.

Thea Wade moved the room with a typically emotional poem. Oscar Phillips performed 'A Better Time Of Year', and Nick Ferenczy read two poems. June Holland gave a show-stopping performance of three songs; her performance was the stand-out act of an already electric night. Nastee Chapel ended the evening with two songs; 'Free Life', and their unique version of 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' with Zulu lyrics as in the original version of the song.
