A fund-raising event by Cheshire Women's Collaboration for the Statue For Ada charity project.
Ada Nield Chew was a campaigning socialist and a British suffragist who became a whistle blower, highlighting the harsh working conditions for women and girls in a Crewe clothing factory. This event was part of a campaign for a local statue of Ada. A night of poetry and music, speakers and performers included poet Carol J Forrester, Sue, Elizabeth Morris from Englesea Brook Chapel, Jules from Mid Pennine Arts, Maggie Shaw from Eregendal press, poet Helen Kay from Nantwich writers, and Sheila Blackburn from Crewe & District Writers Circle.
