About this painting

A painting about financial crises.

A bubble about to burst, a fish, a pond, a coral shaped like a heaving bull, a hanged man, and charging horses in the sea-sky above. These are symbols of money markets and instability.

Technical details

I generally make my own frames and the frame for this painting was completed in 2011. Plaster shells were cast and painted in bronze and gold to look like the cracked surface of a sunken wreck.
