About this painting
One of a series of illustrations for William Blake's Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience which I painted in a frenzy of activity in September 2012. A few years later, in preparation for a London exhibition about Blake, I decided to publish all of the illustrations in a book, Songs of Life.
