About this painting
The second painting in a series of three which uses improvised music as an inspiration, using direct painting to capture the feelings of the moment.

As in the first work in this series, the painting Antigone in front of the dead Polynices by Nikiforos Lytras is used as a theme, but now with the face of a woman. From a foreboding and somewhat strange opening in the first painting, this work is more about mourning or rest or sleep.
