About this event
A performance of surrealistic piano works on the theme of the life of Rembrandt van Rijn, performed on the three public pianos in Macclesfield. One piano was damaged, and could only play each note once, leading to some interesting compositions.

The work was improvised in a surrealistic, automatic, way around root themes. The names of the works were: Saskia, Burning; Poverty and Ecstasy; Myself, I, and Me; Nebuchadnezzar's Knife; Moving the Piano with Titus; Children and the Explosive Growth of Tyrants; The Automata of Kings; Mario Lanza is my Washpot.

Some pieces from the new Lou Salomé set were included, and recitals of Cycles III, too.
