About this event
The first of a new series of Open Mic events held at The Red Cow in Nantwich, organised by music empresario Nigel Stonier and folk musician Virginia Kettle.

Mark Sheeky performed 'Robot' from We Robot, and an early draft of a song destined to be recorded 'Excessive Consumption has Laxative Effects'. Mark and Deborah as Fall in Green performed 'Clown Face', 'Dead Hand', and a premiere performance of 'Did I Request Thee Victor To Mould Me Man'.

The Night was filled with other performances, typically skewed towards acoustic guitar and folk music. Nigel Stonier, Rowan Kettle, Oscar Phillips performed songs to acoustic guitar. Egan Stonier performed two instrumentals on electric violin with a host of pedal effects. Steve van Niekerk of folk band Nastee Chapel performed two songs with his sister. Poet Thea Wade gave a first, heart-rending performance of one of her poems. Nick Ferenczy read two poems, and Nastee Chapel (NatalieGrace Kelsey, Steve van Niekerk) performed some songs too.

The night ended with a general sing-along of John Denver's 'Take Me Home, Country Roads'.
