About this event
The second of series of Open Mic events held at The Red Cow in Nantwich, organised by Nigel Stonier and Virginia Kettle.

Mark Sheeky performed two new songs written for this event: 'Rock And Roll Is King', and 'Pictures On My Telephone' which was subsequently recorded. Fall in Green performed their version of Dylan's 'Mr Tambourine Man', plus 'Skin', and 'A Muscle Illiterate'.

Other performers included Nigel Stonier, Egan Stonier, Virginia Kettle, and Rowan Kettle. A Northwich-based 4-piece band joined us for a set of four songs. Poet Thea Wade moved the room with a poem, and poet John Lindley read two poems in his first appearance at these events.

Two new musicians arrived and were given time for a song each. The first, singer-songwriter June Holland gave a stunning debut performance of the bluesy 'What I Told My Boss', followed by a song by country musician Laura Holden. The brilliant folk duo Nastee Chapel ended the night with three songs, concluding a night of professional-level performances.
