Awakenings

The fire and the phoenix rise.
Birth and glory in destruction.
The new becomes as oldness dies.
All destroyed in reconstruction.

The burning woman in frozen sky,
as ashes fly and spiral,
casting flakes and carbon scent,
across and over the sleeping giant.
Time turns.
He awakes.
