About this painting
A painting about solitude, the unconscious, and the inspiration which emerges only when the noise of the world is silenced. As such, this has a somewhat ascetic and calming mood.

This small panel is one of my most detailed paintings and my first on MDF, which is one of my favourite surfaces, for some time. The painting was started in 2018, but completed in 2021.
