I started writing music on Amiga using Protracker in the early 1990s, and in 1999 recorded my first experimental album Synaesthesia using OctaMED. Soon after, I wrote my software Noise Station, then its successor Prometheus. From 2002 to date, all of my music (including all synthesis and audio effects) has been created only using my software Prometheus, with Sony SoundForge for sample editing; plus (of course) lots of real-world instruments played live. I have never used (and will never use) any form of 'auto-tune', or any Digital Audio Workstation, or any plug-in, or any AI, unless I've designed and programmed it myself.
Art By Machine (2014) by Oldfield 1 was indeed composed and produced using artificial intelligence. Oldfield is an algorithmic music generator subsystem of Prometheus which, of course, I designed myself.
