About This Album
2026 Re-recorded Version
The Modern Game was my first album of pop/rock songs since The End And The Beginning. The songs are thematically connected to modern life, social media, and the impact of technology on society. The Modern Game consists of electronic-pop as in earlier albums, but other more naturalistic songs are here too, with a more loose and organic feeling than before. Overall, this album builds on the poetic expression of my live performances, such as Cycles & Shadows, and my piano playing as part of Fall in Green. The album was updated several times as my skills and technology increased, and was subsequently released under the experimental artist name of Marius Fate. In late 2025 The Modern Game was re-recorded for a fourth time for a 2026 Mark Sheeky release. |
