About This Album
The End And The Beginning is (or was) my first album of pop songs, featuring vocals by the wonderful Tor James Faulkner. The project was ambitious and took several years to craft, with backing tracks and recordings made by Tor in several locations, before I assembled them in Cheshire.
The End And The Beginning is a concept album with music in a 1980s new-romantic style, about a man who enters a comatose state in 1985, awakening years later to a confusing future of strangers and robots. The influences on these songs are many and varied, but there are definite shades of the Electric Light Orchestra, Ultravox, with some Pink Floyd, and even Kate Bush. I provided some weak, early vocals on the tracks 'A.I.' and 'Coma'. |
