Food Limericks

"This road is so tasty today"
said the giant with big mouthfulls of clay.
And he chewed all the while
with a grey slimy smile
but his horse had to make do with hay.

The five fattest fairies possessed
a fine food that was fun to digest.
"We only eat roses,
our superior noses
allow us to choose all the best."

There were only a couple of cheeses
in the hospital for bronchial diseases,
and the head cook named Jeff,
was totally deaf,
but his toasties could banish all wheezes.

"I like eggs!" said a Scotsman named Pete
"There is nothing quite like them to eat!"
Then he widened up his eyes
and exclaimed with surprise
"...but they're better when deep fried in meat!"

I eat Turkish Delight every day
at least one or two boxes, I'd say.
Whether pinky or white,
its delicious and light,
quite the inverse of how much I weigh.
