Serendipi-tea
Oh! I've spilled my cup of tea.
Disaster! Clumsy silly me.
My artwork spoiled!
The paper soaked, and browny.
The colours running.
The painting drowny.
But wait... that shape...
the things I see!
The forms within my stain of tea.
The clouds make faces,
and a tree...
a landscape and some people, three.
Some ink is needed now I think.
A pen for final finery.
Oh bless my hand!
Oh bless my tea!
Oh bless this serendipity.
What once was loss is now rebirth.
Disaster, opportunity!
I would never have tried,
and never succeeded,
to spill such beauty so perfectly,
and never again could I splash this twice,
or ever by hand have made it so nice.
I kiss my hand for this great day,
and this great art it pushed my way!
More paper now!
More leaves to brew!
A second mas-tea-piece is due!
