No Replies

I send her messages
but get no replies.
She sends me jokes
but nothing substantial.
Was it just pity
in her almond eyes.
Should I stay silent
without her replies.

I'm stressed as hell,
and scared as well.
I feel one day
I'll face rejection,
but I sense love
and not goodbyes
in those replies
that she cannot send.
