Infinity

I spiral in forever curled,
bending in like thoughts unfurled.
The fox and hound's eternal chase
goes round and round and round in space.

A shadow cast on concrete falls
on vague and phantom misted walls.
The highest number there can be
can not ascend to conquer me,
for I like pi live in God's calls.
Perfection is infinity.

Tick the clock in finite space
to measure every size of place.
Tock and time is at an end.
The only perfect is pretend.

Every thought that cannot be
has murdered every part of me.
In golden heaven I reside
where God and Zeno laugh and hide.

Count me quickly, count me slow.
Test me everywhere you go,
and time will end while we're together;
you'll die before you reach forever.
