Incantation Of Inspiration For Painters

Fingers splayed,
eyes lowered in powerful gaze.
Light from the mind shines,
from the core divine
and eternal.

The clean plaster of the wall beyond
flicks with dreams.
Images of war, and dances.
Women enchanted.
Great monoliths,
of stone and wood, and twisted flesh.
Streams of diamonds with banks of gold.
Unsettled vast seas.
The truth told.

Distant skies of fantastic colours
transfix and entice.
A child breeze.
Love, and all that is nice.
Drama, with peace.
Beauty and awe.
Release.

He relaxes, and exhales.
Slumps, with a gentle smile.
The artist rests.
All is well.
