Grass Cat

Fallen from the grey blue sky,
in summer's high
and white clouds drifting.

Fallen to the dark hard earth,
and homelessness,
and loss.

Fallen as yellow poppies in the warm wind.
Blown from each angle.
A tangle of innocence, and dependence.

Sent from a star,
so far away.
From a summer's day
of grey blue sky.
