Underwater Solitude

Until now,
I've always seen the green
cool waters
as soothing,
as perfect,
close and comforting.
A womb of peace,
but tonight I feel alone,
and I know that my solitude
will not cease.

Underwater.
Salty breath,
deep and cool.
A viscous death,
inside my lungs.
Senses folded closed and set
to hum.
