Long Day

Long day.
Full of rush.
Full of hustle, jobs and noise.
Full of people, girls and boys.
Full of wind and rain,
and head pains, neck aches,
rolling up and down mountains without brakes.
Full of worry, annoyance
and losing more hair,
and years,
even some tears.

Now tonight, in velvet darkness,
quite, cool and gentle rest,
I feel my bed of soft white summer clouds,
and drift in love away.
I smile for I have worked,
lived, and given my best today.
