Let The Night Give Me Rest

Let my rivers flow in one smooth line,
and make my bee-hive brain relax.
Let the horizon shine a yellow sun.
Let a new happier day come.

Let my petals shake in soft breezes,
and drifting clouds grant me peace.
Let my body rest as it pleases.
Let the engine inside me cease.

Let the rain that I feel on the surface of skin,
cool me outside and in, like peppermint air.
Let my love always be there,
and my strength like a wave.

Make be brave, and calm.
Let me act quietly, at my best.
Let me bless the dawn coming.
Let the night give me rest.
