Art Rock
A new synthesizer in 2022 and a new PC in 2023 revitalised aspects of my music and programming. My creative focus in these years was primarily music, both re-recording older albums with my latest recording techniques, creating to learn and experiment. I began to score and publish the sheet music for all of my albums. In August 2022, Deb and I completed the Lou Salomé project for Fall in Green, our first international collaboration. The subsequently published music became our second work in a museum collection.
I updated much of my software, releasing SFXEngine, Gunstorm, and Gunstorm II on Steam, and updating Firefly, Bool, Breakout Velocity, and Fallout Velocity for possible future release.
Painting had a lesser role, but I felt I was painting better than ever on a technical level. I attacked big works which had been in progress for many years including 'Sappho', and 'Time Independent Portrait Of Rene Descartes Suddenly Realising That Every Thought Stems From A Prior Thought Or Memory Experience', which took until 2024 to complete. I also refined my art photography methods by making a new lighting and precision photography rig, an important process in the increasingly digital-focused world of visual art.
